We made our first “music video”!

I use quotes because this was footage I took during the 50501 No King’s protest. We had hoped the results would fit well with our song Demokra​¢​ide – and they do. But it wasn’t a fully scripted thing and was also a camera test for the film camera I’m using (a Krasnagorsk 3). Hence the quotes.

The camera choice adds additional irony to the whole thing (using a camera made in the USSR to capture a freedom protest). The K-3 has quite a heritage though and offers a lot of features for not a lot of cost. Which is good! Shooting on film is expensive!

We have already idea-boarded some additional music videos. Assuming we can pull those off, they will be a lot more deliberate and I’m VERY excited to see about giving these a go! Shooting on film is something I really want to do for these, at least for some scenes. But this coupled with our ideas will require quite a bit of time and cost. So I’m not sure if/when we’ll have more to share, but the plan is indeed to do more of these!
