First song off our forthcoming album, Space Hatchet II, which it itself a companion to our forthcoming game of the same name.
Like all our albums thus far, this one represents a shift in genre. This time we explore a much more synthy sound, largely paying homage to the synths of the 80’s and touching on a modern Synthwave sound.
This song makes use of a number of synths in fact:
– Prophet ’08
– Virus Classic
– MidiBox SID
– GameBoy DMG-001
– Deepmind 12
Likewise, it is a reintroduction of John’s electric guitar work coupled with our tube pre-amp and a Memory Man for effects. Plus some software effects as well but those aren’t as fun.
We had an epic time at CGF 2016 and hope everyone there did too! We’re hoping to be back next year too, but in the meantime we have plenty of work to do for our RPG, need to finish up our Hero EP, continue to refine our live sound, and look towards our next album.
If you missed out on picking up our EP at CGF, worry not, you can now find it on Bandcamp. Simply name your price and it’s yours, keeping in mind a lot of hard work went into it. We sincerely hope it gives you as much joy as we had making it.
Expect more from us soon!
We put the finishing touches on the demo and are happy to announce it is now available for download on our Bandcamp page! The demo is free so download it and enjoy! But if you would like to support the band, we certainly won’t say no if you toss us a couple of bucks. It would certainly help pay for some of the costs incurred to make the demo (such as the mastering and licensing for Under the Milky Way). Either way, we hope you enjoy it and share it with your friends!
We are excited and proud to finally say we have finished our 3 song demo! It turned into a months long endeavor but that was, in part, due to things out of our control. But it’s here now!
You can give it a listen on our Soundcloud!
Also, we never formally welcomed Landon to the band yet he’s been with us for quite a while now. Sorry for the belated shout out, Landon! He will be handling our percussion and, as well, bring some creative insight and his own unique style to the band! We’re happy to have him aboard!
Likewise, we have had to say farewell to Katy as she has decided to leave the band to focus on her awesome job of making musicians of the younger generation. We’re sad to see her go, but we certainly can’t fault her and congratulate her on her noble cause!
While we can never replace Katy, we are looking for a new violinist. If anyone is interested that is in the San Antonio area, please reach out to us on our Facebook page!
We are proud to finally announce the first completed song on our forthcoming Demo/EP (and, of course, on our eventual full album), Cold! We have played this song live before, and have posted a few live versions, but this is the first “studio” version and represents quite a bit of work. It took some time to get this out because we were trying to figure out the best way to approach it given the amount of funds we had to devote to it. While we would have loved to recorded it in a tape-based studio, we’re not there yet. So instead we did a multi-track in our home studios using what we had, though we did have the track mastered at a mastering studio.
You can give it a listen over here on SoundCloud. Once we finish the EP we will offer up the whole thing for download. For now, enjoy being Cold!
